If you have xbox live you may have noticed some people have been spoted playing Halo 3 Epsilon which is the near retail version of Halo 3. Epsilon was released to Microsoft and Bungie employees as of August 10. Heres the list of what it has If you know anymore information on this or even know a close friend who may be able to help out please pm me
dont know anyone who has it. But there are some great videos on youtube especially where the elite flies the hornet.
At PAX right now the Omeganauts are playing the retail build of the Halo3 multiplayer in the finals as I type this. I'm talking to XxHennersXx and he's telling me what's happening!
Kool man keep us posted I would like to know what maps they are and what weapons and stuff will there will be in the final game:thumbsup:
okay i'm home! they played a map with a weird name, it wasn't retail. i saw some debug information, but just on the menus and on the title screen the build dat.e they didn't show the titlescreeen when they showed it at first. anyway they had the flame thrower and this weird staff weapon and stuff.
Interesting... I used the staff when I beta tested Halo3. It was a pretty fun weapon to use, a lot more balanced than the sword imo. The map they played isn't going to be in the retail version?
they are, they were slightly edited for the convention with Forge. It was the maps narrows and Guardian. They were edited slightly and also renamed Omeguardian and Meganarrows.
The Forge level editor (while not allowing altering the terrain and geometrics) is a really cool feature, imo. I could play with that all day! Just imagine putting down 50 explosion cores in a spot just to see how far your character goes flying when he gets blown up. Or a Bumper Car variant using 16 warthogs, or giant Banshee aerial battles...and so on. I kinda think Bungie put that in there to keep people from cheating (an effort at least) or giving players almost total control in the editor without resorting to downloading mods and getting banned.
Thanks for the information Henners and graciano!. If you have any more thats not been released to the public yet I'm really willing to hear! Thanks
No. The staff is the same sort of weapon as the one boss brute in Halo2 used. It looks almost exactly the same. If I remember right, in Halo3 more brutes used the staff.
Eh, I don't need fancy physics manipulation to have fun. I played GMOD once, and it felt like all I was doing was playing with 3d dolls.
