Well the Halo games are quite rightly deemed to be the best console shooters ever, Halo and Halo 2 got good scores in Famitsu, although they sold poorly. As a comparison, 1 in 10 people who read Famitsu bought a copy of Halo, the same number of people that bought Sentimental Graffiti 2 on the Dreamcast, Excite Truck on the Wii or Virtua Fighter 5 on the PS3. It's good because it's not overly violent for no good reason (Resistance FoM, Gears of War), it's not shooting real people (Medal of Honour) and it's not bogged down with lots of walking (Tom Clancy games). It also plays very well and works with a joypads, although I can hear the PC owners whinge, but, but wheres the mouse, the look axis is the wrong way, etc, etc. I hope Halo 3 can sell at least .1m in Japan.
