Basically, a major developer was working on it, but it was canned before it could get into full production (Maybe Microsoft had something against it coming out on the DS? Who knows). Basically, it shows Zanzibar and a few of the guns. I think we may have found our holy grail of unreleased DS games.
Not bad for a DS game, but the guy who said it looks almost as good as the Xbox version was retarded.
They should have been making it on the PSP. But then again I guess MS really dosent like Sony as much as Nintendo 0_o Would have been MUCH nicer on the psp at 333MHz though
Darn I was gonna post about this . Yeah it does look nice to me and who ever pulled the plug on the project clearly has no brain imo it could have sold really well
ROFL, It was just a company internal tech demo to pitch for the license. Companies do this all the time.
Maybe the game WILL see the light someday; since this generates allot of respons. It sure looks nice, and I won't mind playing it
it might give the wrong message releasing one of the XBOX's main franchises on a nintendo system. It's like Mario appearing on XBLA.
i m not certain it's running on DS hardware though. Seems to be too good and smooth for a field-test engine if running on actual hardware.
Sonic only met Mario recently and the game isn't even out yet. SEGA only put Sonic on various platforms because it became a third party. That said, Banjo Kazooie did get released on the GBA - a fine game too. However the title was well under-way anyway and they had to publish it under really weird marketing arrangements - that hurt the game's sales from what i understand.
I agree with you fully but all we have seen so far is some short clips so we are not 100% sure how well it will work but I do admit it looks like a fine game to me
I remember when the genre went to consoles. Not that I played them, but that I remember all the bitching an moaning. From what little I know of the controls at the time (32-bit era) I fully understand. Now to handheld? Even my head might explode, and I've only played like 3 FPS' in their entirety.
I wonder if it was Gearbox? They were the ones who did the Halo PC port, and they have done Brother in Arms on the DS.
Microsoft released Mechassault for the Nintendo DS and Viva Pinata DS is coming out. I think they should give this the green light. Recreate Halo 1 with online.
True, although neither are as big as Halo is. I could see Microsoft refusing to give the rights so that the game wouldn't interfere with Halo 3's sales (Hey, CEO logic is different then game company logic). However, it could also be Bungie that did not want it released for whatever reason, although they have a more lax view about things then Microsoft.
