Hammerin' Harry (Game Boy, Europe)

Hi. I'm trying to track down a game of mythical obscurity. Any info is *very* appreciated! :thumbsup:

Region: PAL

Though my intent would ordinarily have been to use whatever details you guys can dig up to aid me in purchasing it... I've been unable to find proof that any cartridge was ever created. Whether retail, prototype, or even bootleg (as much as I don't want that). Making the idea rather futile.

From what little info I dug up an English ROM is floating around. This game (supposedly) got published by Irem in Europe, and has a title screen of 1993. The known-to-exist in cart form Japanese version was dated 1992.

Probably a very rare game

 

It does exist! I remember ordering a few copies for stock back when I worked in HMV. It was indeed rare back then. Getting hold of more than 3 for the shop was impossible.

It is DMG-DI-FRG and it is in poor condition (former owner painted it blue and gold) - but it works. So it was released.

Yes, there's a loose copy on ebay Germany right now (30 Euros BIN, but not in very good condition).

The cover is butt-ugly indeed. Obviously identical with the NES cover art... ugh.
