After 20 years, the MOTHER series has been through quite the equivalent of giving birth to a child and been through abortions and “prolonged pregnanciesâ€* in its years. So I thought I would say Happy Birthday MOTHER, and thank you for giving birth to a new precedent in RPG storytelling. =) *I’m using this phrase loosely OK? No technicalities please.
Earthbound, how I ve always longed to play you! I find myself fascinated by the Mother series yet never actually had a portable medium to start and finish any of the games. Being on the move regularly doesn't really allow one to enjoy an RPG at home *Bows to Shigesato Itoi* - the guy's a genius, he has designed three Mother games, highly appraised titles at that, and he's not even a game designer proper! Puts a lot of the "pros" to shame really
