Thanks for the excellent wishes, everyone! I totally forgot that your birthday shows up on that frontpage. I shall now celebrate with a night of Metal Gear Solid 3 and dry roasted peanuts! Thanks again, and glad to have been an Assembler member for 4 years and counting! :icon_bigg EDIT: 3 years. I can't count. :-(
Eh, it wasn't an EZ board before this nifty one. It was a PHPBB one...then before that it was EZboard...it's still online somewhere...locked though, I believe. The current incarnation of the board has been here since March 2k4 (time flies!) and I don't know how long the PHPBB was there...a year maybe? And then I visited the message board (EZ) for a year before it switched to PHPBB....and I've sifted through old incarnations of ASSEMbler (for that quasi contest Assembler had awhile back)...so I'm pretty sure there were more primative message boards before that EZ board... Long story short...I first visited ASSEMbler during my late senior year of high school, and now I'm a junior in college... Edit: Only Assembler can tell you how long his site has been online...and I imagine he might chime in...but it's a long ass time. For fun: The oldest version of ASSEMbler still online... http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Ginza/2271/ Hmm...I recall something older though...like really old that I could only find with the internet time machine...hmm.
My bad, it's only been about three years. I started posting in the late fall of 2002, back when you could post without being registered. I registered in February 2003. I think the switch to phpbb2 was made sometime late that summer, and the current iteration went live in March 2004. And it looks like the old EZboards account has, as someone mentioned, been deleted. One ought to be able to dig back on the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine if they were so inclined, though. Kinda neat to read what we were talking about 2 or 3 years ago. And as something really creepy, my EZboards post count is frozen at 666. :noooo:
