Hi, serious thanks to everyone! It was a really mellow, chilled out day. My son (3) ran up the stairs and whispered to me that he and Mum were going to bake me a birthday cake, which was him letting the secret out lol. Never tell my son anything you want kept quiet ;-) A few cards, a few text messages and a few emails / PM's and this post, which was kind. As for presents. I said to everyone not to bother this year as we've had so much to do on the house, plus I feel guilty for having bought myself a certain piece of dev kit without taking our financial situation into account lol The wife kindly let me off the hook and said "that's your b'day present", which is fair enough! :thumbsup: At dinner time my son triumphantly attempted to sing "Happy Birthday" to me and kind of gave up halfway through and instead started to sing another song he prefered, so the cake arrived with 3.5 candles to the sound of my son singing about some yellow digger from TV. We DID however consume 1 bottle of white wine and I took the night off in order to eat too much cake and watch a film. All in, a pretty cool b'day! Here's to the 35th year on this planet.
