Hard drive failed

    Hi all,

    My Xbox just stops after the splash screen, the Microsoft logo pops up but I don't get any error code.

    I was thinking of modding it and dropping another hard drive in it but which modchip allows for any HDD?

    I just found an xecuter mod chip but I don't have the daughter board that has the 3 switches on it. Does that mean its useless?

    The most common and cheapest modchip Aladdin XT will allow you to drop in any unlocked Hard Disk.

    what model is xecuter modchip? I have a x2.6 that is bad but I have the switches for it and the black cable to connect it. It is good for the x2.6 and the x2.6CE.
