I've always loved this ad for some reason. I think Virgin was responsible for doing it back in the day when the first RE was relatively new in Europe. I couldn't find another pic anywhere now though, and this one came from an old gamefan. Does anyone have a high res or at least clear picture of this?
I can't remember if I scanned that or if I took a pic with a shakey digital camera.. I think it was the camera. Either way, I figured I could scan it if I removed the page from the gamefan but I was hoping for a really clear large picture without the grain of the paper it's on.
I remember when that was plastered on billboards when it first came out, hehe looking back im suprised they got away with it as its pretty gory.
I think this ad was featured in one article about violence on videogames, focused mainly on the original Playstation (it featured RE, Tekken 2 , Time Crisis or Legacy of Kain with classics like GTA or Carmaggeddon) in one old magazine (I'm not sure, perhaps an OPSM?). I'm not 100% sure it appeared in this article though. If I find the mag I'll try to scan it. Always been a fan of Sony ads (particularly PS1), even if this one's from Capcom.
Argh, I know I used to have magazine's with this advert in, but I think they got thrown out when I moved. Just dug out my old CVG's and PlayStation Pro's, but no luck. I think the article Crescent mentions may be something to do with the "Official PlayStation Horror Special"? - which I used to have
