Ever since I saw the PS2 versions reviewed on Xplay, I always thought this series looked kind of cool. It seems almost like a futuristic GTA, but more in the same vein of games like Destroy all Humans, except its more like Destroy all Aliens this time around, with an upgraded engine, more vehicles and weapons, and of course, Gigantic man eating ants. However, I do not have an Xbox 360 (yet) but this game DOES look very appealing to me. I was wondering if anyone has played it and if its pretty good. It LOOKS good, though it could very well be repetitive and boring. I bet I'd buy it anyway, just curious. Its a rather new release, by the way, well, for the US. The reasons to get an Xbox 360 pile up more and more every day...
Here's my impressions + the impressions of my good friend whom I played through it with (9 hours straight): http://sestren.com/php/viewtopic.php?t=2096 If you don't want to go there, then I'll just say the game is amazing and a BLAST to play. The graphics are nice, the controls are solid, and all in all its just a REALLY fun game to play. Definitely one of my favorite games on the 360.
I doubt those will go down, since when production on that model ends every black X360 will go up in price. Plus I'll rather wait for the new [65nm] premium, unless you want a big paperweight... I know I dont.
The game is excellent! It may be heavily flawed, but despite all the criticism you could aim at it it manages to be really fun. The one thing I would say is that some levels are a touch dull and repetative. But there are loads of levels and there are some real stand out moments, like well all the bosses, the cave levels on the harder difficulty and when you first get fire a rocket at a skyscraper. I payed full Japanese release price for this, and I do not regret it.
No... its some "simple series" Sandbox has been making in Japan. I believe the first two were on PS2.
