While following a lead on some Mega Drive floppies I came across a site that had a bunch of pics of development hardware. Nothing really caught my eye except for this baby. I've never seen this before, I was under the impression that SMS debugging was done on an ERX Z80 unit, but this is totally new to me. Does anyone have any info on this unit or recognize it in any way?
ASSEMbler posted a picture of this Master System dev unit years ago. I think he may actually own it. The one he showed looked a bit battered compared to the one pictured above.
Ah, nice. I'll have to find that thread, as I've never heard of this one before, and I can't tell from the pic who designed it. I'd imagine it wasn't an internal build by a specific company though as there apparently are more than one extant system.
