I found this mod a while ago specifically for the SHVC-CPU-01, but didn't bother trying it since I don't have a spare SFC/SNES. Also, the site is entirely in Japanese, which doesn't help. The picture of the mod looks overly complicated and confusing compared to the schematic provided. Even then, I find the schematic difficult to read, but I'm no electric engineer.

I've tried it, and it works. It gets rid of most of the right-side blur making the picture much sharper than stock, but edges still aren't quite as defined as a 1CHIP. The circuit itself cleans up nice if you lay it out on a PCB, and it also makes installation much, much easier. I've attached a picture of a board I made for it installed in a GPM-01.

Well now I need to learn how to design PCBs.

I've tried the mod in a PAL 3Chip-SNES and decided to throw it away. There are some side effects I partially wasn't sure where there are coming from:
    - reduces Vpp in R-, G-, B-signal at the S-ENC and MultiAV
    - produces noise in Composite-Video
    - massive jailbars

At least at the NTSC SNES version, where a friend of mine tested it, the reduction of Vpp is an issue there, too. He also discovered some minor noise introduced at the S-ENC.
At least, the Vpp correction is not a big deal; just need a recalculation of some resistor values. But I gave up with the noise and the jailbars.

Here are some pictures from my installation: Link to CiBo
Just a side note: I used adaptive caps to vary the output RC-filter.

After playing with this mod I decided to simply use the THS7314.

Well I have 5 spare THS7314s, so if I can figure out how to do that mod to my NTSC SHVC-CPU-01. I'll probably go that route, but only if I end up getting a spare.

I've tried that mod and I'm not impressed by the results. Yes, the image is sharper but it also looks slightly "odd" and wrong.
It appears there's slight ringing on some pixel edges, depending on the color, in RGB.
Composite mode now has very prominent color cross talk artifacts. It's much sharper but it doesn't look very nice.

Overall: The image is sharper, so the mod works. However, it creates side effects that are unpleasant to look at.
