Oh, that's very common in the MMORPG world. I remember a few years ago that some Ultima Online accounts in OSI (the official server) were sold for way more than one thousand dollars. The logic for that kind of business is that in MMORPG you spend a lot of time just leveling up/training your character, so some people that have more money than time choose to just buy the training someone did. Although I understand why someone would do that, I'd never buy one. I've sold my Ultima Online account a few years ago though.
I remember reading about that. The guy knew exactly how long it would take him to make x amount of credits, and then in turn how much real cash he could sell them for. It was like an extra job! :smt043
So, lets say I purchased FFXI...and I leveled up like crazy and got all sorts of cool items, weapons, etc... I could sell my account and my weapons legitamately, If I get bored with the game? How about selling my Ps2 memory card since i have disgaea and A LOT of characters at level 9999, oh and did I mention...I beat Uber prinny Baal...with a level TWENTY-FIVE character? Oh, If only you could play it online...I would PWN ALL!!!
Ragnarok Online Items can be very expensive. I remember Ghostring Card going for 600$ or something like that ;D But sometimes you really need money. I wanted to marry my Girlfriend there, which costs a lot of money. If you are not playing many hours a day or have a lot of luck you will probably never get this much money...
I've made over $7000 in under a year via Star Wars Galaxies. Sold one suit of armor (only set on the server) for $4600 in one pop. Don't hate.
the stupid guy isn't who sell the item, it's the one that buy it. if there's a market for this , then i don't blame anyone who sell their items for cash.
Do game saves on memory cards go for a lot? This could be a dream job if only there was a good market for it...
