The weird Halo 2 edition controller. Very strange looking, so I'm buying it. I can't seem to find many pictures on it, or any info on why it has a built in LCD screen. One website said it was the best controller for FPS's. Any info or prices for them? I'd like to know if this is something worth getting, although I doubt it.
I always wanted one of those back in the day. It is not a "Halo 2 edition" controller. It was made by a third party. It's the Radica/Gamester FPS Master controller. I think it retailed for about $40. It got a lot of bad reviews. It's cool and unique, but not *that* special or valuable. Here ya go. It's $9.44 on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Gamester-FPS-...O2UR/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1338879332&sr=8-1 There's also a blue version for PS2.
From what I remember from seeing this at Gamestop years back is that the LCD is used for programming your own button macros. EDIT: Searched up a video, not macros, but instead just remapping keys.
Here's a video I saw on this controller a few months back:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6fMQqhd7fP8&feature=plcp
I have one for PS2 i like it for 2 reasons ... 1 its programmable 2 it makes FPS games better on PS2 ^^
it's a crappy controller but a fantastic idea. For years I've pined for controllers with buttons underneath - I have a MadCatz Black Ops controller with 2 remappable buttons under it.The idea is in Halo instead of taking your finger off your analog stick for aiming to throw grenades/jumps/melee/reload/switch weapons you never lose your ability to aim. Amazing concept, flawed execution.
