Having problems with Fusion/silver star

It only gets as far as the title screen, then goes black and stays there.
Any ideas as to why or how to fix it?

Yes.
Kega Fusion plus Lunar, Silver star=nothing.
Eternal blue works fine.

I don't have a SCD and current market value makes me laugh.
