    Hey everyone,

Whilst everyone who knows about server's seems to be online I thought now might be a good time to ask.

Probably simple stuff to anyone else but I have never done this before and I am having some problems.

I am trying create a network from the server at work to add a new PC. We had a HDD failure on Tuesday last week and long story short its a new HDD in there. The server is running SBS2003 and the PC I am trying to connect is running XP.
I need to get them to connect and then share programs from the server onto the PC.

    Where do I start?

    EDIT: 500 posts yay!

    No not remote access.

I am trying to add a new PC to the network via the modem connection. I have managed to link them now and can open different files, print, access office programs etc.... without a problem but I am trying to install a program we had written for us using the setup.exe for it but when I drill down into it I get the following error -

    Can't run 16-bit Windows program
Cannot find file blahblahblah\SETUP.exe (or one of its components). Check to ensure the path and filename are correct and that all required libraries are avilable.

    I am now stuck again.

Does the program require DLL files that aren't available?

try running the program in virtual machine or compatability mode, it is also possible that your trying to run the app in a 64 bit os

If the program is really old, you might want to try installing it on a Virtual Machine such as VMware server or MS Virtual PC.
