So every once in awhile mainly on a very cold boot up, as in I have not booted up the XDK in about a day maybe 10hrs, I get the 4th player LED blinking red and I have to shutdown. Then on reboot its fine and everything works great. I ran a memory test and there are no issues found and I just did a clean recovery meaning I wiped the entire HDD. I don't know exactly what could be causing this so any input is greatly appreciated. I should also mention that the kit uses a sidecar. It seems to work fine but if this is a problem that could eventually break the Kit I would like to know so I can fix it before that happens.

EDIT: 1010 Hard Drive Error, Can be caused by a corrupt or missing eProm.
That is the secondary error code that I got. Its kinda odd that it happens only on a cold boot. I can make it happen if I unplug the console from the powersupply and replug it in. It must be storing a autofix or something in the chache. The harddrive was working fine before I put it in the sidecar so maybe that has something to do with it? Do I need to reformat the HDD completely?

It's quite possible that the HDD is going bad. If so, you'll need to replace it.

That's odd since it has been working fine with another kit just not in a sidecar. Then again something could have happened when I was moving the HDD. And the sidecar boards I believe are fine because I just moved them from a working kit and I was very careful to make sure there was no static or anything that would have caused a board issue. I could try reformatting it again with another method because if I would rather avoid opening this kit again as I did yesterday to put the sidecar on.

Its the sidecar. Ive dealt with this quite a bit recently actually. The HDD is fine, its the transfer of data from the sidecar's HDD board to the output of the other board to the console. What you can do is take apart the sidecar, take the HDD off of the HDD board, remove the sata to HDD output cable from the bottom of the second board, place the hdd under the second board, and pull the HDD output side of the cable through the opening of the sidecar. Problem solved.

Thank you very much for that answer. If I left it the way it is now would it harm anything with the kit?

    I seriously doubt it.

If I ever open it up again I will do what you said. But if I can avoid opening this up again and messing with the sidecar that would be great
