REZ HD for Xbox 360 was released on an Xbox Live Arcade compilation disc called 'Qubed'. I've bought that disc because it's cheaper than REZ HD in the Xbox Live Market Place.

Unfortunately the Xbox 360 dvd drive is very noisy. So I installed the disc to my hdd. Unfortunately the dvd drive is still as loud as before.
I also downloaded the free demo of REZ HD in the XBLA market place to my Xbox hdd. When the Qubed disc is insterted, the game will be recognized as a full version. Unfortunately the game will be still loaded from dvd.

I also have that problem with the Limbo Triple Pack compilation disc. It seems that playing a game from hdd does not work with multi game discs.

Does anyone have a solution for this problem? Especially REZ and Limbo require a silent environment. And please don't write headphones as a solution ;-)

Not really a solution, but the newer (pre-slim) 360s are a lot quieter than the old ones. They're still loud compared to my PS3 Slim, which is barely audible in normal conditions.

if this is the only option, then I prefer the headphones ;-)

I'd just break down and buy the full xbox live version from online and play it off the harddrive. if your a hardcore fan or its bugging you that much it'll be worth it. Keep the Qubed disc for your collection.

You could crack the system open and add some sort of isolation foam to the DVD-ROM.
