I've recently picked up a DTL-H50001 TEST unit with an SCPH-10350 included, and since Free McBoot won't run on TEST units, I'm trying to set up HDD-OSD in order to reduce wear on the disc drive.

So far, I've managed to get HDDOSD installed on a Seagate 160GB HDD by using HDDRawCopy to write an image to my drive. The browser version of my console shows as 2.00 when I view the information screen with the HDD connected, compared to 1.40 otherwise, so the updated browser IS running.

I can run discs normally, and install games from my discs via the usual methods (HDL Game Installer, WinHiip) and they show up in the HDD via the browser, But whenever I attempt to launch any game from the browser, the screen goes black for a few seconds, and then returns to the browser screen.

Am I doing something wrong, or will this simply not work on a TEST unit?

    Thanks in advance!

The current release of HDLGameInstaller installs a KELF that is flagged as a DVD player, which will be rejected by the debugstation. This will be fixed in future releases.

Wow, that was a fast reply.

That makes sense. Thank you very much for the explanation.
