"Are 'retro' videogames brainwashing your children? Watch CNN tonight at 8:00 for this special report"

I can't say I'd enjoy playing some of those games, as I'm not that old (17). But they should honestly give a few of those games a chance. I don't exactly love Defender either, but Joust is great fun. I suppose it all depends on the person playing it and how willing they are to try it out.

    Or they're ignorant :).

Edit: Those fucks don't like Galaga? That's so wrong.

Little kids only like games with TEH OMG GRATE GRAPHIX and where you can beat hookers to death. At least it seems that way today.

Little bitches. Sheet, I was happy to have my Colecovision. When I got an NES it was like the best day in my 13 year old life. Screw these leetle bastards, with thier motion-captured characters built from billions of texture-mapped light-sourced polygons. Real games are about sprites that go "Bleep! Bleep!" and flicker when more than three of them get on the screen.

God-dammed kids don't know how well they've got it.

I guess I'm odd, I like old games, but I never go back to them.
If you made me play the original metroid, I'd probably scream.

I'm the same way. Then again, I do enjoy Space Invaders (Forgot the name for a minute...) and Joust on occasion (Never liked Pac Man though, thought it was overhyped)

I see those games the same way as I see checkers or tic-tac-toe.

    It's easy, requires no instructions.

Those I will play, but not for more than 3-4 times in a row.

You won't see me playing shite ones like rambofor nes, a POS game with a 40 word continue that's fucking case sensitive.

But you will see me play phoenix for days on end.

Oh sweet Jesus, I love that game.
