Found this thing today. Apparently only 100 were produced? It's a bit scuffed but otherwise good condition. What do y'all think?
Wow! that things pretty rare dispite the reason why only a little were produced, guessing Nintendo probably didn't wanna promote to much on a alcohol brand & considering they had promotion posters giving out those Limited Editions at the time which you can see here:
Cool. Is the Heineken logo a sticker, or is it printed directly on the lid? Funny that they label it as "furniture". Sure, I like to sit on my Gamecube sometimes. Similarly, at the thrift store I used to go to, they usually labeled videogame consoles as "Radio". Either they have no idea what a videogame console is, or they don't have any better way of classifying it.
That;s what I love about this site, there's always a limited edition console I haven't seen before ! How much are you selling it for?
Awesome grab for $6. I was unaware that the Heineken Gamecube came in black, however. Ive only seen one other one before though.
I don't know if I am going to sell it or not since I have a bit of a console collection myself. The logo is printed on the jewel but it looks like it could be pretty easily scratched off. You can definitely tell that they didnt care so much for the quality of this LE. Given the lack of creativity and all. And I've seen pictures of other black heineken gamecubes online. And I know what you mean with how it is labeled. Most of the stuff there is labeled as furniture. But the cartridge games are usually labeled as radios oddly enough o_o Not the first great grab from this place. Last one was turtles in time for 2.50
that's pretty sweet. I really like that gamecube, I also like Heineken but this is nice I've never seen this ever. Awesome.
"limited edition" with a small logo on it. Damn I hate these type of "limited editions". Good collectors item though.
Agreed, would have been cool if the cube was Heineken green with the red star as the only graphic on the jewel. They really didn't put much effort into this LE.
Take out jewel and motherboard. Place into NR reader case. Now it's REALLY a Heineken looking gamecube.
