Hello everyone, I have decided to participate more in the Assembler forums as I come to this site everyday. I have a dreamcast, xbox 360 and psp. I also have an old electro mechanical pinball machine that I restored. I also play a lot of mame. I am an ebay arcade reseller and beyond that I am a visual artist. I used to do a lot of non profit arts based community work, from working with those with disability to running an art league. I used to be more of a console system and game collector but essentially sold everything but my dreamcast a few years ago. Some regrets but I was too obsessive about it and clearly it was something of an addiction, rationalizing skipping meals to buy games...... Now I use emulators to get my gaming fix. Lots of good people on this site and respect the community. If I am out of bounds in any way, please let me know and I will correct myself. I try not to be arrogant or hurtful to others though I am not a perfect creature. Also, if there are others in central ohio, I am always looking to play shumps and fighting games with other gamers.
Thank you! I apologize for the late reply, I hadn't noticed that you responded. Yeah, presently I am apprenticing under a pinball machine repairman. I am cutting my teeth on electromechanical pins and learning to read schematics. I could already change flipper assemblies and other simple fixes including restoration work, but it's good to be learning how to repair complex issues. Anyhow, thanks again.
Thank you. I am a soldier now. When I march through the virtual streets of internet retro scene city, people know, they can see, that I am of a different breed. The pin on my lapel, the patch on my arm, emblazoned with the gold lettering, Assembler soldier, the eyes widen, the pupils dilate, the mouth goes dry, the heart rate increases, the scalp sweats, it's all about how fast one can bow before this thing of beauty. We are the scions of retro guardianship. Mario , Sonic, Hanzo, they are all cheerleaders in this army. Retro victory after victory, pummeling those who would take gaming into a dark place. We are eternal. Yes, 100 golden posts on this highly esteemed forum, I am vibrating with the silent tears of a gaming success.
