Greeting to All Assembler members, I have been collecting vintage technology /computer items for years now. I do not focus on any category or things that I grew-up with. In fact, I search to discover obscure things that I know nothing of. My approach to collecting is simple, if it is rare, I collect it. Anyhow, I stumbled upon this forum while doing research on my latest acquisition through trade. I'm not a video game collector or hard-core gamer for that matter, but I must say that I did not know how fascinating Video Game collecting can be!! Well, the items below are what led me to this site and I'm looking forward to discovering the interesting things that I can do with these. So far, the Sony PS2 Tool is the one that I find it to be very intresting to me; it is a Linux computer and a game console in one box!! Cheers,
Welcome to the party! For your sake I hope there isn't too much rare / exotic hardware available or you'll be overrun quite fast! What's the rarest thing you reckon you have? :smile-new:
Welcome to the forums! You already have a pretty impressive collection considering those three things alone. Vintage computers are always fun. Any pre-IDE hard drives/pre-386 hardware?
Trust me, I feel overrun sometimes. In fact, I had to get a storage room just to keep the madness out of my house. What's the rarest thing I have? Apple Lisa, Apple III, Apple Mac (1984), Commodore Pet 2001, SOL-20, IMSAI 8080, BeBox, NextCube, Sun 1, Kaypro Robie and few others. My favorite computer is the Amiga. I have almost all the models: A500, A1000, A1200, A2000, A2500, A3000, A4000. But, I'm missing the tower versions- A3000T & A4000T. :sorrow: This Amiga 4000 Video Toaster with HighFlayer case is my exotic Amiga. However, my absolutely one of the kind rare computer is not a vintage but a 2006 prototype laptop in a wooden case: AMD CPU, ATI Motherboard and Yokohama Battery.:redface-new:
Thanks.. I'm not a big fan of PC clones or compatibles, so I have almost none. Well, just the Original IBM PC 5150.
