I'm a photographer and do a bit of video production and editing on the side. I cant complain too much, I'm self employed and work just as well after a rhum or two (or 5).

Hahaha that is the dream !

I would like to stop my actual job and work from home ! I develop a Wii U game on my free time but I would love to do it as a full time job.

About the photography thing, this is great ! I really like photography, but I am a bit limited by my hardware.

I'd love to develop if I could but I struggle with BB code so it's never going to happen. Photography is great, I've loved it since my late teens and taught myself on an old SLR from the USSR. It's an expensive way to learn thanks to film. If you're into it the best advice I can give is to buy an 'okay' camera, a fast SD card and think of framing a lot. There's no real need to be going out with massive expensive cameras and flashes and so on, unless of course you want to start studio/specialist shooting, then it get expensive! Generally though if I go out to shoot for fun I take a Nikon D5100 (and some times a Nikon P900), it's more than capable for fun, even on full auto you will get the result you want mostly, if not then bang it in Photoshop and tweek it till you're happy.

An old camera from USSR ! That sounds funny ! Did the camera automatically remove politic opposant from the pictures ? hahaha

I am far from having a D5100. I have an hybrid Lumix GF3, but I have some fun using it. the quality of the picts itself isn't the best but I can find some great subjects to shoot. I will send you few picts. But It will be far for a professionnal job !

Few weeks ago, I was looking to by an Alpha 7. What do you thing about it, not as a professional camera ?

SLR = Stalin Lenin Regime ;)

I am a massive Sony fan when it comes to their cameras, primarily for filming (I film on a FDR-AX100) but I've put some serious consideration into making the move from Nikon to Sony for stills. I don't think you can go wrong with the A7 tbh. There is no need to go any higher than 24mp either as that pretty much matches film and unless your shooting for billboards that's perfect. The Sony sensors are fantastic too, great colouring and blacks are black. So yeah, I'd say go for that for your next upgrade but if you are still unsure the D5100 is much much cheaper by comparison, either way they are both a step up from the Panasonic in my opinion. I look forward to seeing some of your work man, always nice to see what others are shooting!
