I got some Sony CXA2075M chips that I'm using to replace the Samsung KA2195D on my board. My question is, do I still need to add a 75ohm resistor and 220uf cap to pins 15 and 16? Is that all I need to do or is there another step I'm missing?

How are you doing this? You will need a lot more parts to replace the Samsung chip. The resistor and capacitor you mentioned are required for the Sony chip to output video.

I did this in the past, and it worked, but found that cxa2075 was overheating after about 20 minutes and hanging the system. Better use cxa1645.
