    Hi all,

I recently modded my Samsung retail 360 to play back-ups. However, I also do some freelancing work for a few gaming publications, and it'd be really beneficial to be able to play review/demo code that they get supplied from the publishers (instead of waiting for the retail rips to appear online).

Are either of these two ideas I have technically possible at all, as I can't really justify spending £700+ on an official debug/test unit...

1). I'm being sent a recent XDK disc from someone I know on a publication, is it possible to use this on my flashed 360 to 'convert' it into a debug 360?

2). If not, is it technically possible to rip a debug disc (designed for debug units), and then patch it up so it can run on a modded retail 360? I've heard that the Saints Row 2 rip that was on the p2p scene was taken from a review copy of the game, but I'm not sure if that's actually true or not.

ANY help on this would be genuinely appreciated!

    Thanks!

A retail 360 cannot play debug games and there is no way around it.

Also don't talk about piracy on here, its frowned upon.
