I'm calling on the members of the forum currently in Japan to help me with something. Silly as it sounds, I need someone to purchase an item and ship it to me here in the U.S. As it turns out, the gf really likes ducks and recently hosed her usb stick, and what a better opportunity to get the iDuck! Her birthday is also around the corner.

I need someone to purchase the following (the pink one w/o the hearts),
and be gracious enough to send it state-side. Of course I would cover all the costs, I just need a middleman. If there is also a way to get those any cheaper let me know. Please help and I will love you forever

I'm sure there are but generally minimum commission for something like that is about $20. There's a minimal hassle involved in getting something like that, even a small item. Kind of sucks the value out of something that only costs about $42.

You might want to try Yahoo Auctions Japan, especially if you already have an account with one of the 'deputy bidding services'. There's someone selling them on there now - I think that this might be the one you're looking for: http://page19.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/x17085455

And GaijinPunch is right - expect in the region of $20 in fees/comission/shipping - depending on who you use, you can usually keep the overall costs down by buying other stuff & getting it shipped to you by the deputy service in one batch.

On the other hand, if you don't mind paying 100% markup, you can get 'em from here - http://www.dynamism.com/iDuck/pricing.shtml

That's about 150% Markup at the current rate... even w/ the yen gaining momentum the last few days.

Hmm, I'm not sure I can justify buying one of these now. I was talking with someone in Japan who was willing to buy one for me and he mentioned the drives were terribly slow and were known for using cheap parts. Has anyone used one of these before?
