Help! Fz-1 won't boot games

Got a fz-1 recently but unfotunately it doesn't work.
The logo at the startup show up just briefly and then the screen goes black.
The animation start only if I open the cd tray.
However when I insert a game the green light turn on briefly (2-3 seconds) but doesn't happen anything.


Is this a known symptom?

 

A known problem yes. No known solution necessarily.

 

Sounds like a cd controller ic.
