I came across this pic of a 3DO something, which I do not know what it is.
Anybody have a clue? If you look closely, the 3do logo is located on the right side next to the power button.

I believe it has something to do with development, looking at the 19 inch rack setup.
Just not sure what it is exactly.

Yeah, that would make sense. I would say sound dev, but it has video input too...

Looks like video converter but also got audio sync and audio sample rate. But... what if it's some kind of hardware encoder/decoder, like those MPEG boards.

my guess would be it was a hardware tester for when people sent their 3DOs in for repairs

    Video Input
    Video Standard
    Audio Input
    Audio Sample Rate
    Audio Type

Looks like some kind of diagnostic unit from a factory assembly line.

    3DO DigitalConnect

"3DO MPEGXpress video and audio features are integrated into 3DO DigitalConnect, a rack-mounted breakout box that accepts all input sources and converts them to D1 video and digital audio to ensure the highest image quality possible."

3DO was a company, the 3DO interactive multiplayer console is just one of their products.

"The 3DO Company (NASDAQ: THDO), headquartered in Redwood City, Calif., designs, integrates, and sells interactive technology and applications for the mass market. With offices in North America, Europe and Asia, the company licenses technologies and creates entertainment software for its 32-bit and 64-bit video game platforms, the PC market, and the Internet"

One went unsold on ebay recently

It's not really 3DO related (in terms of 3DO console) but it's ok if you just like things that have a 3DO logo on them.
