So I'm getting into the reballing business, mostly for fun and buy an "Untested XBOX 360 Slim", which we all know is another word for "Not working".
Imagine my surprise when it not only starts, its chipped too =)

Seems like an older installation FSD 2.0 etc. Anyhow, I was hoping someone could help me identify the chip in it and what kind of JTAG this is (or RGH).

It has a flat cable going to the outside of the metal casing with nothing connected. I'm guessing some sort of accessory can be attached.

Is there anything special I should consider when updating the console or would I just do it like I do any other JTAGged console (grab NAND, modify with CPU key, write back etc...)

    Thanks in advance!

Thanks! Text matches the original (font looks the same. U1 has the rather harder U instead of the rounded one on the clone. U3 is a nice round 3), but GND is connected as if it was a clone...

It boots in about 3-4 attempts.

Thanks again. There were no issues updating to the latest dashboard and Aurora etc =)

Still not sure if its a clone or not, but matters little. The connected red GND is in fact a functioning ground point so I guess its a clone but the text is matching an original.

Did not think PSXCare in Sweden (That apparently modded it) used clones.

It could have been fixed later. That is an old image anyway.

Was only to show you what chip it was.

Hate to break it to you but if you plan on 'fixing' Cpu and Gpu faults, you are wasting your time..
