http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/coff...ideo-games-consoles/arcade-machine/1010564855 A friend of mine told me that over at SA they're trying to figure out what exactly this cabinet is/was originally designed for. The seller claims it's for Pac-Man World, but that never saw an arcade release. My gut says it's some kind of redemption machine but I don't see any kind of ticket slot. The picture is tiny and grainy as heck, but all I can make it out is two buttons on the far right, probably start buttons, what looks like a +-gate stick, and either a small button in the middle or a really strange reflection. Don't know what it's supposed to be, but would like to solve the mystery, and if it turned out to be rare in the process, that's a bonus. Any thoughts? No Pac-cabinet I can think of looks anything like this, but I also can't get over how cool it would be to have a sort of spherical maze to play in. Thanks in advance!
you can see the screen through the bubble, it seems there's a normal 4:3 screen behind it. Maybe the bubble is coated so that the image from the screen appears on it? Doubt it though, probably it was more an eyecatcher.
It looks like something you'd see in the background of the 'control room' in an Irwin Allen disaster film. You might want to ask the seller if it's earthquake, fire, airplane crash or bee sting resistant? You never know, he might also have a box with random flashing lights to go with it? :smile-new:
One button. It's old. Get it, no matter the game it's worth having. It's amazing. [h=1]Polybius....[/h]
