Well I got my receiver in the mail a few days ago and I am having the same issue as you. I am hearing the relay click when I press my button and the led goes off but no matter how I change around the reset wires on the 3 pins for normally open (NO), closed (C), or normally closed (NC) I get the same result.
The only difference is that my reset button still functions normally and you said yours doesn't work at all with the receiver installed. I'll keep working on it and give a status update if I figure it out.

Yeah I thought it'd be something like this. I hope we can fix this. It really sucks lol. Maybe someone who knows more about the n64 could help?

I agree. Maybe we could ask @ma777 or @LeHaM from the other thread for help. They seemed to be the only ones to get it working right. Hopefully we can get this figured out since we seem to have the wiring correct from the diagram.

Ground in center pin on relay, reset in left pin.

Connect ground to ground on the PSU plug

Thanks for the clarafication! Sorry to tag you again, I appreciate the help though.
He is saying to use the same ground for both sides of the relay. That is why there is a second wire in one of the other images going to the back of the relay. I'll try this tomorrow to see if it works.

I have not unfortunately. I tried and tried with no luck then eventually gave up. I can hear the relay click when I press the button but it never resets the N64. I may end up working on it again this weekend though now that the holiday craziness is over. I think i need to test the relay on something like an led that I can figure out the right configuration on before reinstalling it back into the N64. I feel like I am so close but there is just one thing I am doing wrong.

I think I'll keep at it trying to get this to work. It is a headache and I've been banging my head against the wall a few times but it has also been a learning experience since I've never worked with relays before. I would have gone for the wall outlet style but unfortunately my wall only has one outlet to surge protector for my entire entertainment system.

I finally got it working! I found out that the diagram for the reset button is wrong. I circled the correct reset pin that needs to be used. Move the wire (gray for me) up to the pin in the photo.
