Hi all, I bought a used LaserActive with Sega Mod many years ago. It worked fine and was then left unused for several years. I got the urge to play it recently and couldn't get it to work. No main screen and while the tray could be opened and shut it wouldn't play LD's as the play button didn't work. I played with the unit, taking the Sega mod out and then could get LD's to play. I was thinking the connecton was bad, so I tried cleaning the connections and putting it back in. Still nothing, after tinkering with it, taking it in and out about 20 times I finally got the correct start screen for the Sega Mod. I tried a MD LD and it ran for about five minutes and the froze. Reset wouldn't work, so I turned it off and again opon turning it on it wouldn't recognize the Sega Mod or allow LD's to play. So, any ideas on the problem? The connection to the main player, or the Sega unit itself? Thanks William:noooo:
I've got a japanese unit if you wish for any comparisons. Never opened it but I suspect the previous owner did.
