I can't find any info on the inputs of the xRGB3 or the xRGB Mini Framemeister. The put put of either doesn't matter but I would like to use s-video or scart RGB and possibly VGA as well for the DC but I can live with scart RGB upscaled. I have a chance to get the xRGB Mini Framemeister for $315 shipped or the xRGB3 for $290. If someone could help with which inputs are allowed for each and even your experience with each. I would pefer to use scart RGB PAL cables as they are cheaper and seems to be much easier then Japanese scart RGB cables. Here is what I am looking to hook up and the video cables I have to use

Megadrive with Mega CD & 32x [PAL scart RGB or S-video]
3DO FZ-10 [S-video as I think it is the best I can use without a mod]
Sega Saturn (region free) [PAL scart RGB or S-video]
Sega Dreamcast [VGA or PAL scart RGB]
Gamecube [NTSC scart RGB with PAL scart connector or S-video or component if needed]
Wii [S-video, NTSC scart RGB or component]
FM Towns Marty II [S-video as I think it is the best I can use without a mod]
    PS1 & PS2 [PAL scart RGB or S-video]
    PSP-2000 [Component Cables]
Super Nintendo [NTSC scart RGB with PAL scart connector or S-video]

I will add more systems once they come to mind but this should be a good start to show what I am looking at doing.

As far as I know, the Framemeister will do virtually anything the XRGB3 can do, but it's smaller, it has better support for HDMI (the XRGB3 only has DVI, and certain video modes aren't supported over DVI), and it has some new features. If the difference in price is only $25, I would definitely go for the Framemeister. My knowledge on these devices is somewhat limited, but I'm sure there are others who can give a more thorough answer.

That is what I thought but I really need to know which inputs both have as the only site I found didn't translate well using google. If someone help with that or another brand with the types of inputs I am talking about using. S-Video and PAL scart are most important inputs I will use that would be great as I have a VGA to component I use that I am fairly happy with till I saw the xRGB2.

I know the Framemeister has RGB (21-pin Japanese), S-Video, composite, and D-terminal (component) inputs. The RGB input uses the Japanese pinout, so you'll need an adapter to use SCART cables. It doesn't have a VGA input. But you should ask Yakumo about this - he's an expert on the subject.

There's only one real reason to own a XRGB3 and that is if you want to use VGA for something such as the Dreamcast. That is the only weak point about the XRGBmini Framemeister. Other than the lack of a VGA port the Framemeister is far more stable, gives a better image, more compact and much easier to navigate plus it's far easier to set up in to English and update.

i love my mini, for the reasons many said prior - there's workarounds for the DC VGA too, looking forward to the Kenzai on this very forum, heh. for everything else i'd go RGB - most of the systems you listed do so without modification anyway.

yeah, ive got about 8 SCART RGB cables tied up with a velcro strap near the unit; ive debated a switch but haven't found a good one for the right price yet.
