Ok. I am working on a list of all decent Dreamcast Shmups. My list so far is just below. Please help me complete it by pitching in if you see something missing. The games can be from ANY region just as long as they are at least decent games. Please list what regions the game as made in as well as I hope to purchase as many as I can in Enlgish o_0. Indeed check out this. Then go out and buy a decent machine like a Japanese Playstation 2 and then you can play a decent amount of shooters, rather then piddly amount on the DC. :thumbsup:
Thanks for letting me know about that. I know what most of them are but theres a few I dont, can anyone list the names of the games or something for me lol. How is the PS2 and good shump machine? Is there a shump list for ps2 games somewhere on the net, I couldnt find one for the DC games which is why I made this topic.

Here's my thoughts Ikaruga -- Excellent game, excellent port (same architecture) Gunbird 2 -- Good port, lame game (I hate Psikyo) Bangai-O! -- Not really a traditional shooting game, but excellent. 240p display . Very cool Psyvarair 2 -- Mediocre at best game. Faithful port. Under Defeat -- Pretty good game, faithful port. GigaWing -- Great game, bad port. GigaWing 2 -- Okay game, great port Marx Matrix -- Excellent game although hard as fuck, worst shooting port in a long time Last Hope -- Not played Trizeal -- Bloody awful game. Worst in years. Faithful port ZeroGunner 2 -- One of Psikyo's best. Faithful port as well. Strange, as it's 3D. Border Down -- Great game, great port. Expensive as fuck. Radilgy -- Acquired taste, pretty bland graphics. Faithful port. Trigger Heart Exilica -- Also acquired taste. Terrible graphics, but very fun scoring system. Faithful port w/ an arrange mode. I still think the PS2 is the best for shooting games. Some won't have 480p where they do on the DC, but I need these on a big ass screen, TATE'ed anyway. Throw in the Playstation shooters and your library will flatten the DC's. The only must-own DC shooting games are really Ikaruga and Border Down. Bangaio is a nice weird one, and Under Defeat if you like pretty plain scoring systems. About 80% of Jamtex's PS/PS2 list are fantastic ports.
The DC has a grand total of 18 proper shooters and a third of those came out in the last 2 and a bit years. Compare that with the 100+ you can get on the Playstation 2 (includes Playstation 1 shooters) and it looks a bit thin. Although it is still 1 more then what the Master System had. :lol:
