    Hi everyone,

An AG member is wanting to buy some stuff from me but he lives in Romania. He has tried to open a Paypal account but his bank don't allow it. He is also unable to send money orders from his country.

    My question is -

How can I recieve a payment from him?

Ask him to do a bank transfer. The fees can be high (some 20 Euro I guess) depending on the bank's rules but it's the safest thing to do especially for you on the receiving end.

Oh, and opening a paypal account doesn't need any kind of approval from the bank. He just needs the bank to verify his (bank) account so that he can send money from there via paypal. I take it he has no credit card? Maybe he has other means to get some money onto his paypal account.

Communism destroys economic systems for years to come indeed... and since Romania is not a Eurozone member, bank transfer taxes would be hideously high.
But... I think that he is thinking about withdrawing money directly from his bank account, something that is not possible outside the US.

Just FYI it's possible here in the Netherlands, not sure about other countries but I guess most western european countries have this option with Paypal.

I would suggest he sends money from his bank account into his paypal account just by sending it to the Bank of America with the code provide by paypal, this shouldnt require any authorization.

    Actually inside her?

Well he has looked into sending Western Union but he can only receive them in his country, not send them.

With regards to a paypal account, he applied but when he got to the part to fill in his bank details (It let him but) it said this card has been refused by the bank. This was a credit card too. No idea why but he is going to ring his bank and see if they can shed any light.

    Any other ideas?

As this is romania we are talking about, ask for a case of AK-47's and a few RPGs.

Thanks for the help guys. We were going to go with actually posting the money via recorded delviery but he managed to sort a paypal account out from his wife's bank. The money is now in good hands (mine) and the games shall be en route very shortly.

    Thanks again
