I just realized that no sound comes from both my PAL SNESes when connected with RCA, neither a modified RGB SCART, though I still get sound by using RF. What could be wrong? Is this a known "aging" issue? Edit: Just tested my Super Famicom and the NTSC SNES, I had sound but it was very weak. I tested 4 cables and one RGB I modified and used to work fine 5 years ago.
Yes and a brand new one also. And other 2 SNES from other regions give very low sound as I mentioned, read my posts a little more carefully barky
The chances of all of them developing the same issue are low. Have a closer look at your cabling, and if that's all fine then check the TV. If you've checked other consoles on the TV and they work fine, then it pretty much has to be the cabling.
it got cursed by Kutaragi-san, the designer of the sound chip the moment u brought in the Ps3. Firmware 1.6 also damns the SNES' audio over RCA didn't u know?
Did you try turning the volume knob up? It seems highly unlikely that that many systems would all have the same issue.
A volume knob inside the SNES? Never seen anything like it, could you spot the location on the board? Nintendo would be totally retarded to have an internal volume knob :|
I meant the tv's ports. I would stop plugging it into anything else if there is a short. No sense in ruining more hardware.
