Help playing 111 in 1 famiclone cart on NES

I have a top loader NES w/AV mod, a 111 in 1 penguin Famiclone cartridge and a gyromite cart with converter. I want to put the 111 in 1 into the NES cart so I can play it on my top loader but I only get a blank screen when I put it all together.
Does anyone know why it won't play on the NES-101? Is there any adjustments or mods I can do to the converter to make it play? I suspect the chip on the converter may have something to do with it not working because it works on all my other famiclones but I'm too much of a newb to know for sure.
Any help at all would be great, I figure if anyone would know one of you guys would.

I tried it in a super joy III and it worked & I turned it every direction possible. I headed to check out that thread now, thanks!

 

yeah many of those multi carts are designed for clone systems so you have to do some rigging to get them to work

 

A bit more complicated than I was expecting, but I'm 1000 times closer to understanding than I was when I started this project. Thanks again, if I find a fix I will be incredibly attached to this cart!
