Hey guys, title is pretty self explanatory. I've been trying to find a simply N64 logo with the name above it for my background on the Everdrive 64 v2 and I found a .svg file from Wikipedia which gave me just that. I pulled it into Illustrator, but no matter what settings I use or what program I use to convert it to .bmp, whenever I try to set it as background in the Everdrive I get the same problem. The background goes all crazy with a bunch of random colors in a wavey pattern and then when I reset, it has the default background but upside down and with random colors. I have no idea what is causing the problem. There seems to be different settings in Illustrator on how to render the BMP. I've uploaded a PNG version of it. Does anyone know how to properly convert it into a BMP? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
hi, i converted the file with gimp for you (http://www.gimp.org/) export -> 16bit -> X1 R5 G5 B5 (640x480 Pixel) View attachment n64bmp16.zip EDIT: maybe you saved the image as 24bit (not supported) cheers, saturnu
Thank you! It worked. Problem was I didn't know which type of bit map encoding to use. Now that I know it's X1 R5 G5 B5, there should be no problems. Thanks.
