I just came back from Japan where I bought a well kept Super Famicom console. Since I live in Europe I bought a new PSU (9V, 1000mA). I put in my Everdrive V2 and switched Power On. Games run fine - picture is great but: there is no audio! If I turn the TV Audio all the way up you can hear the music (very low though...). The Super Famicom came with an original Nintendo AV cable - I even tried my original Game Cube cable - same problem. The multi-out looks fine and clean (from the outside...)

Does anybody have the same problem?
    Cheers

    Could be some dying/dead caps.

UPDATE: Tried it on a friends Philips HDTV - all good. Strange: On my TV no sound (SCART or RGB) - but with a Game Cube with the same cable there is sound. WHY?!?!

Do you have any other cables to test with? Maybe try a composite cable to see if the audio works using that?

EDIT: Actually, isn't 1000mA a little low for the SNES? I believe the SNES comes with a 1300mA power supply. That might be your issue. The Everdrive most likely draws more power.

Well I have a pal snes and the psu I use is 9v 400ma and it works fine.

I would think the everdrive draws 5 volts.

What I did now: I plugged both audio channels into my amp next to the TV - perfect sound. I still don't know what causes the problem though.

@PIKKON - I have a Super Famicom, it needs 10V/850mA DC - I use an universal PSU with 9V/1000mA - works fine so far. Even with 7.5V...
