Not sure where can ask, think is the right place, but feel free to move this in the right thread section.
I would just ask to users living in USA, which shipping method is recommend to ship items in Italy or just EUROPE (the cheapest, that support up to 3kg of stuff) and need to be traceable.
    Can somebody help me? thanks.

I remember to USPS first class mail international was the cheaper available some years ago, but not sure to can send stuff to weight 2-3 kilogram.

Also, USPS offers pick-up service? like here, come at home courier/postman to work for Italian Postal Service? if yes need to pay "extra" fee?.

    Thank you!

I think next to the first class is priority mail. See more at ( http://postcalc.usps.com/ ). Otherwise by courier which means extra fees. I am sure nobody likes this! As for the couriers, most people use UPS or Fedex. I haven't tested UPS so I don't know much about them but as for Fedex it's a big and sad story. Fedex does good job till your package arrives to it's final airport station. Then they use franchise within Europe which means other terrible companies are behind and are not controlled by the same rules.

It's an interesting topic so I might stay back and see what the experts here know.

You could always PM one of the people in the USA on the "ask a local for help" thread in the Marketplace for help. They would be able to offer you advice.

Many eBay sellers will refuse to send to you in Italy, because of your terrible postal service and scammers. Don't forget, if you use USPS, the tracking will ONLY BE IN THE US. Once it's on the plane/boat out of there, you're out of luck. If you want tracking, use a proper carrier - DHL, UPS etc.

As an Italian , I have to say I lol'd at this
Whilst the postal service can be dodgy, there's no more scammers than anywhere else in the world. Personal experience is there's more scammers in the UK.......

I made this thread because I have a friend in California to receive my packages from eBay seller to send only to US, at the end he send me the stuff back in Italy just in few boxes to make "cheaper" postage (this after a years to keep) XD
I do not want to be "insistent" and do not want to waste they free or working time, so was asking here if somebody know very well the USPS postal service.
I take a look at the USPS page, but not sure about that, can not find USPS first class mail max. weight (I know only is cheap) damn... so can somebody at least explain me this one, please?

Priority Mail International® Large Flat Rate Box
    http://ircalc.usps.com/MailServices...pb=0&mdt=2015/06/01 08:00&mt=11&dok=XX&dvi=30
Weight: 20 pounds (Max.) = 9 Kg for me in Europe.

The $ 86.25 price includes already 20 pounds? I mean, if I have only 15 pounds, I will pay anyway $ 86.25 right?

About tracking, USPS first class mail international from 1 year from today is working for Italy, but need to be tracked on Italian tracking website: http://www.poste.it/online/dovequando/home.do (example: LC759225762US) can be tracked only here, if you try on USPS does NOT works! https://tools.usps.com/go/TrackConfirmAction?qtc_tLabels1=LC759225762US (LOL)

Here one receipt from another seller.

Very true - it should have been in quotes, really - I meant that it's the opinion of many sellers on eBay nowadays - not fact.

It sounds like you're lucky if you have tracking all the way - USPS themselves (as you saw by their site) effectively wash their hands of it the second they pass it over.

If you want a collection, you'll need to use a carrier most likely. If you use a middleman like ipsparcel, it'll be cheaper. Your best bet is to use one of the people in the local help thread, though. At least you can ask them to check the item and repackage if necessary.
