Well, I want to buy some stuff from there and let's see if someone could help me out :-(

I want to buy three books. They cost 420円, 620円 and 798円. I looked for the shipping rates, and my heart nearly stopped:

Book / Video: Base rate 3400円, 300円+ per additional item (Europe).

There's something I haven't seen, or they really charge 32€ for shipping three books? They aren't those hard cover, 800 page books, they're a couple of manga tankubon and a light novel. I've seen they don't insured shipping anymore, but is EMS that expensive? I didn't remember. :banghead:

Anyway, can someone tell me if I can choose any other shipping method which won't be that much expensive?

Amazon uses private carriers... and they *all* have shitty overseas prices. It's the same price if I got a Takkyubin to send you the book. It's a joke, really. It's just not a market they feel like competing in.

After thinking more about it, it may even be worth it since most eBay sellers charge for those around 10 bucks PLUS shipping. What a shame. :(

I saw how much does Mandarake charge for shipping overseas, and well, it's quite fair but they only accept BANK TRANSFER!!! O_O And banks here charge you around 20 bucks for a transfer to Japan.

    Gah... :(

I'll be in the same situation soon: 3 books. But it's worth it.

That's actually not too bad. It costs me $30 to transfer money from Citibank US to Citibank JP. A fuck job, no?

If you send more than $1000 to yourself from country A to B, Paypal is at best, a bit more expensive.
