    Hello everyone,

I purchased a IS Nitro Emulator a while ago and I am trying to figure out if the game slots/card slots work or not?

I was wondering if someone knew how to check if the game slots/card slots on a IS Nitro Emulator?

I learned from another user that the IS Nitro Emulator game slots/card slots are write only, not read.

If I am mistaken about that, please let me know.

If someone doesn't mind helping, please let me know.

I got in contact with another user, who gave me info and a way to set up the IS Nitro Emulator to write to a DS flash cart/card. It worked and now I know it's working. Thanks for all the responses.

    Thanks for listening.

You have to use the official Nintendo flashcarts with it. Regular games and third-party flashcarts won't work.
The hardware itself can both read and write, but there's no function to "rip" a cart directly to a file. See the help file for the IS-NITRO-DEBUGGER software for more detailed info.

    Hello everyone,

Graphique, I am a little confused, I did purchase a official Nintendo flash cart and put it into my IS Nitro Emulator and it didn't read it.

I put it into my Nintendo DS and it was able to read the card.

I heard from another user about it not able to read carts, do I have to set certain dips on in order for it to work or should it be able to read it right away?

I also have purchase some IS Nitro Debugger software and I am looking for a IS Nitro Emulator manual.

Anyways, thanks for replying and I appreciate anymore info.

    Thanks for listening.

IS-NITRO-EMULATOR doesn't read any Retail Games.
To test it, use your Flash Card, and Flash that UFO Demo on it.
When you're done, put the Flash Card into any Retail DS Phat or DS Lite system.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to flash anything onto my developer card. Would you be so kinda as to elaborate? I'm trying to use IS-NITRO-DEBUGGER and every time I attempt an "identify" on my card it fails.

    Hello everyone,

Poryhack, well do you have a official Nintendo flash cart? The IS Nitro Debugger only reads official Nintendo flash cart, it can't be anything else.

If that is not the problem, I am not really sure? Do you have the drivers for the IS Nitro Emulator or the most updated drivers?

Please feel free put up some more info about your problem.

    Thanks for listening.

Yes it's an official dev card. And I can confirm that it's working because there was a game flashed to it at the time I bought it and it runs perfectly in my retail DS. Drivers also shouldn't be an issue as I've been able to run through other features of IS-NITRO-DEBUGGER without issue.

I have a feeling my procedure is what's wrong so I'll list it out here in the hopes that it can be corrected:
    1. Turn on unit and connect from IS-NITRO-DEBUGGER.
    2. Load SRL via File > Load File... > SRL
    3. Confirm power to both DS and GBA slots is off. Confirm NITRO flash card is inserted in DS slot.
    4. Load Tools > DS Flash Card... dialog. Accept when prompted for ARM reset.
    5. All options are grayed out except for "Identify". Warning box displays "Please confirm initializing code". No idea what that means.
    6. Click Identify, unit makes a click and displays a dialog informing me that it "Could not find DS Flash Card."
    7. Feel stupid, ask for help. =p

I'm willing to pay someone with experience to help me out here, if that is what it takes. Send me a PM.
