So I bought this a couple of days ago and have been navigating it to try and figure out what exactly I have on my hands and what its capable of doing. From what i have been able to compile here are my findings: (pics attached below) Mod Chip: Chameleon ? Bios: Xecuter2 4978.03 Dash: XBMC 360 Plays backups on DVD disc Has a SNES emulator but no roms Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 loaded on hard drive. Game will not load when I click on it just goes to blank black screen. I've been trying to google my way thru all of this to get more info but I guess now my lack of software/programming knowledge has me at a standstill. I would like to get help on figuring out how to get the emulators and roms on the hdd. I tried a video tutorial that told me to use Filezilla and connect my xbox to my router and basically just drag and drop from my PC to the xbox BUT in the video the guy has different partitions within the HDD but mine only finds :/C and appearantly the emulators and other goodies go on the :/E . Heres a link to the video tutorial i tried to follow. Thanks in advance for any and all help provided.
What's special about it? Like i said have zero clue on what i have, never have owned a modded xbox. in FTP everyone says the username should be xbox and PW xbox by default. Well i noticed under system>servers on the xbox it shows two user names, test and xbox. When i try to FTP with xbox user name says password is incorrect and doesn't connect. When i use the test as user name it connects but only shows /C.
Since it has a chip, take out the old hard disk, put another one in. Download and burn AID (pretty noob friendly), and follow everything on screen. It should really fix all your problems. What it sounds like is the dash could be badly configured, who knows what the person did before you. Or Alternatively, burn/run AID on the current drive, and format everything. There's nothing you can really 'screw up', since by default the x2 bios boots from D:/ first which is the DVD-ROM drive. You have nothing to lose really by attempting this. Regarding FTP. It should be U:xbox P:xbox unless it's changed, I've also used FileZilla for the program. I've not had much experience with XBMC, but I don't think it's much different for FTP. Does C:\ show up with the File Explorer? Also, what a waste of a rare chip, it's a v1.0 and could be TSOP'd
Use Firefox + FireFTP, I never see anybody having problem with FireFtp, whatever the hell the ftp server can be "broken", Fireftp will still works, if not, then there's a problem somewhere else and not related to ftp at all....
