I doubt that any one has ever opened one before, at least not anyone on assembler. Some who has opened an SCPH-10000,15000,18000,3000X or a DTL-H3000X console might be able to help you. All these models have very similar motherboards. Actually, couldn't you experiment with the SCPH-30001 console you got to get parts out of, that way you don't risk damaging a debugging station.
I think i got mine off, I'll check laer and will let you know whats up. (BTW, did you still need some high-res pics of a GD-R and a Katana-disc, if so, let me know)
Well, the easiest way to take apart the v0's, is to unscrew the bottom, flip it over, take off the top piece w/ the PS2/TEST logo Then, you want to flip it back over, and take the bottom piece off (iirc there are clips holding it in near the dvd drive) Then Remove the poer supply. On the shielding itself there are tiny screws that you need to remove, then it comes off, and the top piece of the sheilding is held on by thermal goop, and take it off, you got your motherboard. Just make sure to take out any pcmcia card first. I did this to my memory, dont wanna rip my v0 back apart!
