Hey guys. I wanted to fit a DualShock 3 inside the case of a DualShock 1. If I could just switch cases would be perfect, but I know won't work, becuase it simply wont fit (just simply look at the triggers). I am a completely modding noob, but I think this should not be too difficult, since it is just an esthetic mod. In advance, I would like to point out that the less I have to modify the original case, the better. If the PS button function can be activated with the Analog one for example, I will be happy. Same with triggers and leds. The closer to the original DS it looks, the better for me. Thank you very much indeed.
I can't think off the top of my head what the differences are aside from the USB, PS button and LED's. If the LED's are hidden surely that isn't a big deal. The rest of the case could easily be altered with a dremel tool grinding away plastic really slowly.
Just so I understand what you are trying to do correctly, you want to take the internals of a PS3 Sixaxis/Dual Shock 3 Controller and put it in a what I presume a clear ps1 dual shock controller right? Regardless it sounds like a neat mod! If you get it to work please post directions and pictures so others can do it as well!!! Thanks Disjaukifa
