I just downloaded graal online and the .PACK files couldnt be opened. I would like to have the files opened so I can edit the heads, bodies, sword, and shield graphics. What do I need to open .PACK files? Thanks
Are you sure that the .pack files are supposed to be opened? Most game use their own proprietary file formats anyway, so if you want to open them you'll need specific tools, either developed by the game developers or fans. If there aren't any developed so far, you'll either have to write your own or go without.
That's kind of my point. I can't say for sure as I don't have the game, but if the game sprites are contained within a .pack file, then first you'll need to know how to explore and edit the .pack file. Pack files are likely to be containers for multiple files, so it should be possible to unpack them, given the right tools/knowledge. Even then though the sprites will probably be in a non-standard image format. Best place to start looking would be on forums relating to the game.
well The Sims are using pack files so i do not it is so proprietary afterall or maybe pack files are pak files ? those files can be extracted through unpacking programs easily
well, Pack/Pak is just an extension, I'm sure there are a gazillion different file formats using that extension, though.
