    Hi all,

I'm in the process of making a install guide for the modbo 4 (matrix clone), in this guide I've started putting together a table of what models relate to what version and board revision.

It probably has some mistakes and is definitely missing some stuff, if anyone sees something missing or that needs fixing up please let me know :)

When the guide is done, I'll upload for anyone to use :)

Hi all. I already posted this info that I found in official Sony homepage
But I have some questions about it. Does somebody know something about this console version existence:
    SCPH-75011, SCPH-77011, SCPH-79011, SCPH-75012, SCPH-77012, SCPH-79012, SCPH-75005, SCPH-77005, SCPH-79005, SCPH-90011, SCPH-90012
It seems that xx011 and xx012 region consoles were not released for later slim models at all. But x05 (Korean) was released only for 9xxxx models. But maybe im mistaken.

Those manuals don't give the motherboard revsion. Which is the main point of this

    They give:

    SCPH-10000 GH-001 = A Chassis
SCPH-15000 GH-003 = A Chassis with TI rf frontend IC (GH-003 without TI RF frontend also exist, use same DVD drive as GH-001)
SCPH-18000 GH-003 = A Chassis with TI rf frontend IC (GH-003 in SCPH-18000 will always have TI RF frontend and a tiny daughterboard with BIOS + DVD player maskroms)

    SCPH-3000x GH-004 = B Chassis

    SCPH-3000x GH-005 = B' Chassis (B dash)

    SCPH-3000x GH-006 = C Chassis

    GH-007 = C'-Chassis (C dash)

    GH-008 = AB-Chassis (SCPH-18000 PCMCIA mobo with EE/GS/IOP chipset combo from GH-004)

    SCPH-3000x GH-010 D-Chassis

    SCPH-3000xR GH-015 = E Chassis

    SCPH-3900x GH-017 = F Chassis
    GH-019
    GH-022

    SCPH-5000x GH-023 = G Chassis

Each PDF has the name on the cover. Btw, I refuse to use this "Vx" denomination invented my modchip pirates. :)

You say each pdf has name on the cover, I assume you are talking about the service manuals and not the user guides I was replying about?

The Vxx is listed in my notes to assist with finding install diagrams, which are listed by Vxx by the modchip makers.

I didn't make it up, just log what helps.

You probably already know this, but for completeness within this thread:

    Only the SCPH-30001 is a B-chassis.

Doesn't it have the EE + GS devices from the SCPH-30000 series?

    This is the F-chassis. There also exists a SCPH-3000x R GH-013, which is classified as a D-chassis.
The F-chassis has a new Rohm RTC IC and can support the SF-HD7.

    SCPH-37000/SCPH-39000 series are G-chassis.

There are H, I and J-chassis models for this line. Although I don't think that we have information on the J-chassis.
    H-chassis is a GH-023, while the I-chassis is a GH-026.

    I didn't notice the "x" on SCPH-3000x but I really meant GH-004 = B Chassis

GH-008 was made about the same time they were pushing C and C' units in Europe and USA. The non dash units all use the same chips. Dash use the GS from SCPH-10000. They could not use the EE chips so I suppose they grinded those. But the GS chips were all used up.

The others yes, I skipped one board type and that skewed the list. J is GH-027 if I am not mistaken. Almost the same as a GH-026 but uses a new optical pickup and it was only seen on PAL regions.

@Bad_Ad84 sorry I got carried away on the vx thing. lol
