Anyone help me get the data off my mirage? There's several projects on there, including a Saturn game that was cancelled & only released on PS (both were conversions of a PC title). I've hooked it up to an old PC with scsi interface, connected the SCSI IN on the Mirage to my PC's scsi2 port. I know the PC can sort of see it 'cause if I set the ID of the Mirage to the same as my scsi CD writer it conflicts & causes a loop of the PC resetting the scsi somehow, the mirage trying to set to the same, receiving the reset etc. I just can't see the drive in 'my computer' - should I be able to see it here? Is it not that simple? I also got a big hard drive box at the same time. this has connectors that look like scsi2 but are wider than any of the leads I have by about 10 pins... I have a lead that does fit it, but it's some kind of internal PC type lead that only connects to 2 more of the same socket. It could be some kind of IDE crap, I have no idea, I only use scsi on my Atari & that's all I know about. Any help/advice welcomed! Maybe just give me some hints on how to set up a dev saturn with the mirage?
You need the floppy or CD that came with the Mirage. It has the mirage.exe and CPBUILD tools. You will be needing those! I'll have a look when I'm home and see if I have them, but I don't think I do. Default SCSI ID is 3 for the Mirage, try leaving it on that. Depending on which Saturn you're using, you may need a boot CD to get it to run the games off the Mirage. The Mirage isn't a big enough hard drive box itself? heh. Do you have any pics of this mystery box? Sounds very interesting - I'm jealous!!
