I seem to have a load of files that are eating up the small amount of spave I have

I regularly delete all the temp internet files as they build up over weeks of surfing etc.

    But I have the following

    C:\WINDOWS\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5

    And several sub folders like

    C:\WINDOWS\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\47BN645T

I am sure that it is these that is eating up the memory as when I run a scan it sits checking these files for ages and ages.

When I try and delete these manually.......it takes a while but it does say deleted to recycle bin.......................however they all still appear in above sub-file, but when I go to delete them again (as they are not in the Recycle bin) I get

Cannot delete file: File system error (1026)

Can anyone shed any light on this for me as don`t want to have to pay someone to sort this out!

Virtual Alan - this sounds like a spyware problem, does it not?

Maybe run Spybot and Ad-Aware and see if that cleans it.
